Up Up! Farm is a film collection with 17 hours of documentaries by 13 independent filmmakers (including Greenhorns) about the future of farming, featuring young farmers from around world. Each explores questions of farmland access, rural livelihoods, and the relationships of people and place.

The project aims to spread young farmer stories far and wide — to the ears and eyes of entire communities and into the hands of aspiring farmers. Sharing these stories through a festival format helps to generate dialogue within communities and provides a productive platform for cross-pollination of ideas.

Through Greenhorns’ network of farmers and allies we hope to incubate 150 festivals by 2018 – but we need your help — organize a festival in your community today!

Together, these films paint a broad picture. Like farming, film is a labor of love.

We want to honor the work that goes into telling these stories. By creating this independent film collection, the Greenhorns and the filmmakers can avoid the fees of middlemen, giving you these stories at a better-than-usual price and ensuring just compensation for good work.

Together, we can tell more stories.
